Colorado Bucket List: National Center for Atmospheric Research

I didn’t actually plan to hit the NCAR, and I forgot it was on my Colorado Bucket List, so I’m glad I got to check it out!
Met with a friend to go hiking nearby, and we popped in after finishing our little trek around the nearby trails. The best part by far was the tornado display, which was so fun to watch. There were a couple other awesome displays, like shifting the wind to create sand dunes and the “touch a cloud” stand. There’s not a ton to see there, but the trails are pretty gorgeous.
